Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Triage (PIT) for the ED at South Hospital, focused on improving emergency department throughput and patient flow through early assessment and intervention, coordinating care with the multi-disciplinary team, and enhancing patient safety and experience. Delivers nursing care across age groups using standard nursing practices, administers medications per licensure, plans care with patient/family, and participates in education and discharge planning. Requires Associate’s Degree in Nursing with applicable licensure; BSN preferred and Nurse Residency participation for new grads; shifts include evening hours (6p-2a).
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- KY RN licensure or compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required for specific areas
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) may be required for specific areas
- BSN preferred
