Job Summary

Conduct clinical assessments and provide guidance to injured workers reporting workplace injuries via a dedicated phone line. Obtain event descriptions, evaluate injury severity, and determine if specialist care or emergent intervention is required. Schedule initial clinical evaluations, coordinate transportation, and educate employees on authorization and work status documentation. Submit escalation documentation to the case management team and manage after-hours triage rotations. Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requires active RN license, workers' compensation experience, and proficiency with electronic medical records.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience with workers' compensation
  • Proven ability to make sound, timely clinical decisions in a fast-paced, phone-based environment
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to assess injury severity and determine appropriate level of care
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to guide and educate injured employees clearly and professionally
  • High attention to detail with accurate and thorough documentation skills
  • Ability to follow established protocols while exercising clinical judgment when needed
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation systems
  • Commitment to compliance with regulatory requirements and internal protocols

Desired Qualifications

  • Occupational health or injury triage experience
