Triage Nurse (RN)

Triage patients, take medical histories, and perform lab work in a clinic-based or telephonic environment under general supervision. Establish rapport with patients and provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support while evaluating those with ambulatory diagnoses and possible acute conditions. Initiate treatment for common ambulatory diagnoses in consultation with mid-levels and PCPs, promote patient independence through education on medications and self-care, and adhere to therapeutic standards and state board regulations. Resolve patient needs using multidisciplinary team strategies. Requires 2 to 5 years of Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience, bilingual skills in English and Spanish, and ability to perform procedures such as IVs, injections, wound care, and EKGs. Scheduled 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
