Job Summary
Triage Nurse role within Amplar Health’s Virtual Health team, delivering clinical triage and health information from a home-based setting across Australia. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, providing medical guidance, and referring to appropriate providers, all while operating within a flexible, work-from-home arrangement. The position requires a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA, at least 3 years of recent clinical experience, strong communication and digital-literacy skills, and availability for a rotating roster including weekends and night shifts. Training is fully virtual prior to start date, with a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2027 and potential extension. The role emphasizes compassionate virtual care, autonomy, and delivering high-quality patient outcomes in a remote environment.
Required Qualifications
- Essential Criteria: Registered Nurse (Division 1) with minimum 3 years recent clinical experience within the last 5 years
- Current AHPRA registration with no notations
- Experience in areas such as A&E, Paediatrics, Community Care, or Acute Medical/Surgical
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work autonomously
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Comfortable using digital systems and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Availability for weekend and night shifts
- Desirable: Experience in virtual communication (video/audio conferencing, chat)
- Previous call centre or customer service experience
- Corporate or multidisciplinary team experience
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
