Job Summary
Greet and escort patients to examination rooms while preparing them for procedures, including obtaining urine specimens and assessing vital signs. Administer injections and medications as prescribed, perform non-stress tests and ultrasound scans, and deliver education on prenatal care, birth control, and surgical processes. Provide critical assistance to physicians during examinations, recognize urgent situations to initiate emergency protocols, and coordinate swift transfers to hospital care. Oversee appointment scheduling to prioritize emergency cases and maintain efficient patient flow throughout the facility. Rigorously maintain infection control practices, including proper disposal of materials and adherence to hand hygiene protocols. Ensure accurate documentation of all symptoms, complaints, medications, and charges on chart forms while upholding patient confidentiality and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Graduate of an accredited LVN training program
- Current CPR certification
- 2+ year of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting
- OB/GYN experience
- Proficiency in administering injections
- Proficiency in performing phlebotomy
- Proficiency in providing patient education
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to respond calmly in high-pressure situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Corrected vision to normal range
- Corrected hearing to normal range
- Ability to work under stressful conditions
- Ability to work irregular hours
- Manual and finger dexterity
