Job Summary
Triage Medical Assistant provides primary liaison support between physicians, nurses, and patients, handling patient care questions and coordinating care by telephone and in the clinic. Responsibilities include triaging medications, health education, and medical advice within the scope of GU practice; determining urgency of patient problems; scheduling appointments; documenting communications in the EHR; processing prescriptions; and supporting clinic staff and providers with patient care tasks while maintaining professional, courteous interactions.
Required Qualifications
- MA Certification or LPN Licensure
- Must be able to use a computer and telephone for up to 8 hours per day
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
- Experience with electronic health record systems preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Flexible and team-oriented
- Dependable with good judgment
- Ability to adapt to scheduling changes
- Parking and working hours adherence
- Normal office environment with basic computer skills
