Job Summary
Drive truck to destination while maintaining truck log according to state, federal regulations, and company policy. Perform daily pre and post trip inspections, load and unload truck, and prepare receipts for loads picked up. Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions and perform all work according to FMCSA and H&K Safety policies. Work a 2nd shift schedule in an outdoor industrial setting involving outside weather conditions and high, precarious places.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- Hazmat
- One year of commercial driving experience
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Able and willing to work a 2nd shift schedule
- Problem solving
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Pre-employment drug testing
- Pre-employment Physical
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- 3+ years of commercial driving experience
- Tanker Endorsement for liquid asphalt
- TWIC card
- Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting
- Strong preference for asphalt plant and/or heavy road construction experience
- OSHA or other relevant safety certification
