Job Summary
Drive a tri-axle truck to destinations while maintaining daily pre and post trip inspections, truck logs, and vehicle receipts per FMCSA and company safety policies. Load and unload equipment, communicate delivery instructions via radio or telephone, and fit test with appropriate PPE. Work a second shift schedule in outdoor quarry and heavy civil construction environments, adhering to state and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- Hazmat
- One year of commercial driving experience
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Able and willing to work a 2nd shift schedule
- Problem solving
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- TWIC card
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- 3+ years of commercial driving experience
- Tanker Endorsement for liquid asphalt
- Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting
- Strong preference for asphalt plant and/or heavy road construction experience
- OSHA or other relevant safety certification
