Job Summary
Drive truck to destination while performing daily pre and post trip inspections of vehicle equipment including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations and prepare receipts for load pickup. Load and unload truck, tarps all loads when public roadway travel is necessary, and trims loads prior to tarping. Perform all work adhering to MSHA and H&K Safety policies and maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Pre-employment drug testing
- Pre-employment Physical
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience
- TWIC card preferred with CDL class A
- Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
- Manual transmission experience
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
