Tri-Axle CDL Drivers

Job Summary
Drive tri-axle trucks to destinations throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania while maintaining truck logs, performing daily pre and post trip inspections, and managing load tarps and trims. Prepare receipts for load pickup, load and unload equipment, and keep constant radio or telephone contact with supervisors for delivery instructions. Adhere strictly to MSHA and H&K Safety policies, ensuring all vehicle equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, and fluids are inspected and maintained. This role is part of the Hazleton Division of The H&K Group, Inc., which provides heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions across Luzerne, Carbon, Schuylkill, and surrounding counties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
- Valid Medical Card
- Clean driving record
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience
- TWIC card preferred with CDL class A
- Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
- Manual transmission experience
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
