Tri-Axle CDL Drivers

Job Summary
Drive a tri-axle truck to destinations while maintaining logs, communicating with supervisors, and loading/unloads equipment. Perform daily pre and post trip inspections of tires, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Prepare receipts for load pickup, tarp loads during public roadway travel, and trim loads as necessary. Adhere to MSHA and H&K Safety policies, including fit testing and PPE usage. Maintain telephone or radio contact to receive delivery instructions. This position is part of the Lehigh Valley Division of The H&K Group, Inc., a heavy civil construction team serving the Lehigh Valley, PA region, western NJ, and beyond.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience
- TWIC card preferred with CDL class A
- Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
- Manual transmission experience
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
