Job Summary
Perform all work adhering to MSHA and H&K Safety policies while driving the truck to destination. Prepare receipts for load pickup, maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations, and keep telephone or radio contact with supervisor for delivery instructions. Load and unload truck, inspect equipment including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, and perform daily pre and post trip inspections. Tarp all loads when public roadway travel is necessary and trim loads prior to tarping when required. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
- Valid Medical Card
- Clean driving record
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience
- Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
- TWIC card preferred with CDL class A
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
