Job Summary
Perform all work adhering to DOT Regulations and H&K Safety policies while making timely deliveries to various locations. Prepare receipts for load pickup and maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations. Loads and unloads trucks, performing daily pre and post trip inspections of tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor/Dispatch to receive delivery instructions and tarp all loads when on public roadways at all times. Trim loads prior to tarping when necessary. Competitive salary commensurate with experience, $20-$25/hr. Class A or B CDL required with one year of commercial driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience
- Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
- TWIC card preferred with CDL class A
- Manual transmission experience
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
