Job Summary
Perform all work adhering to MSHA and H&K Safety policies while driving the truck to destination. Prepare receipts for load pick up, maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations, and load or unload truck. Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Perform daily pre and post trip of vehicle, tarp all loads when public roadway travel is necessary, and trim loads prior to tarping. Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. Class A CDL with one year of commercial driving experience required. Located in Bernville, PA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
- Valid Medical Card
- Clean driving record
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be available for outside weather conditions
- Must be able to handle vibration
- Must be able to be exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels
- Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to sit
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing
- Must pass pre-employment physical
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of commercial driving experience
- 3 years of triaxle driving experience
- Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
- TWIC card
- Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
- MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
