Job Summary
Supervise CEI inspection staff and oversee daily field operations to ensure construction activities align with WVDOH specifications. Provide daily oversight of inspection activities, manage project documentation including materials certification, preparing estimates, and changing orders within the AWP system. Monitor contractor construction schedules, evaluate revisions and delays, and identify issues or non-conforming work for resolution. Ensure all work adheres to environmental requirements and safety regulations while acting as the primary liaison between S&ME, WVDOH, and contractors. This full-time role requires hands-on outdoor work in varying weather conditions, standing up to 12 hours a day, and lifting 40-50lbs. Candidates must hold a TRETSR Level IV certification and possess strong knowledge of WVDOH procedures. Required Qualifications
- TRETSR - Level IV
- High School Diploma/GED
- Strong working knowledge of WVDOH specifications, procedures, materials requirements, and documentation systems
- Demonstrated experience supervising inspection staff or leading field operations
- Proficiency with construction documentation platforms, schedule tracking, and contractor coordination
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions majority of the time
- Comfortable walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing (potentially up to 12 hours a day)
- Ability to routinely lift and carry 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
- Comfortable with exposure to highway traffic, heavy machinery
- Available to work outside of normal business hours
- Valid employment eligibility (I-9)
- Must comply with Fleet Management requirements
- Must comply with Substance Policy requirements
- Must comply with Reference Check requirements
- Valid driver's license
