Job Summary
Oversee daily trek meal preparation logistics by ensuring meals are accurately picked, packed, and shipped while maintaining precise inventory levels and placing timely restock orders. Train and supervise seasonal staff, monitor inventory checks, and coordinate with kitchen teams and suppliers to meet delivery schedules and quality standards. Keep food storage and packing areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations, while maintaining accurate records for inventory and shipments. Perform additional duties assigned by leadership and abide by SBR staff handbook policies. Work 45-60 hours daily hiking up to 12 hours, lifting 90 pounds with a partner, in a 10'x12' platform tent at Staff Camp.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18+
- Basic computer skills (e.g., inventory software, spreadsheets)
- Previous experience in food service, inventory management, or logistics
- Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
- Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 12 hours daily
- Ability to lift/move up to 90 pounds with a partner
- Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years leading teams
- 1+ years Summit work experience
- High emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)
- Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focus
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skills
- Ability to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
