Job Summary
Conduct tree pruning and removal without spikes, leading crane-assisted tree removals and operating bucket trucks with manual transmission. Show crews required tasks, develop key performance goals, and hold employees accountable to ensure quality service delivery. Train teams on safe, OSHA-compliant work practices while maintaining documentation and proactively implementing maintenance schedules. Identify local plant species and manage a safe, compliant work environment. Requires a certified arborist with at least five years of tree experience, three as a lead climber, and crane climbing skills. Compensation includes a performance bonus based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Certified arborist
- At least five (5) years tree experience with three (3) as lead climber
- Climbing skills, including crane work
- Operate a bucket truck with manual transmission
- Ability to teach others how to do tree work
- Proactive (I.e. implements maintenance schedule as opposed to fixing things after they break)
- Ability to identify local plants and trees
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- OSHA training certification
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
