Job Summary
Conduct all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely for major electric utility providers, including removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects. Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson while maintaining, preparing, and operating tools such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines to perform treetop pruning and repair damaged trees. Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program, First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire. Requires valid driver's license, commercial license preferred, and ability to climb using Davey's DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems. Full-time role with up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Driver's license

- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Love of the outdoors
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Commercial driver's license preferred
- Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience preferred
- Commercial Driver's License-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement
- line clearance experience or other related tree work
- relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law

- TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
