Job Summary
Prune and remove trees and shrubs while operating chainsaws, chippers, and small tools like shovels and rakes. Clean and organize tasks as a crew to serve clients, climbing trees up to 60 ft for pruning or removals. Demonstrate proper felling techniques and rigging methods while adhering to OSHA, ANSI Z133, and ANSI A300 safety standards. Work outdoors in extended periods under extreme conditions including rain, heat, sun, and wind, lifting items over 50 lbs. Assist the Foreman in leading the crew and learn new skills to grow within the team. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to follow specific instructions and safety protocols
- Applicable knowledge on climbing harnesses, tree gaffs, chippers, chainsaws, and rigging techniques
- Comfortable climbing to heights of up to 60 ft
- Proper felling techniques
- Follow safety guidelines and OSHA standards
- Follow ANSI Z133 and ANSI A300 standards
- Subject to MVR and criminal background check in accordance with applicable fair chance laws, rules, and regulations
- Willing to learn and grow to become even better
- Climbing trees for pruning or removals
- Knowledgeable about trees and tree climbing techniques
- The position is active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day
- The employee must frequently reach for, pull, lift, and/or move items weighing up to and over 50 lbs
- The employee must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind
- The position is expected to be full-time and may be scheduled on weekdays and weekends
- During the interview process, applicants are expected to wear appropriate work attire, considering the nature of the role, and may be requested to demonstrate skills
