Job Summary
Provide wound care and skin assessments for residents in a nursing center; administer treatments as ordered, monitor and document progress of wound healing and skin integrity; coordinate with physicians for treatment orders; maintain records of pressure ulcers and skin alterations, perform Braden risk assessments, and educate newly hired staff on Skin Practice Guide requirements; assist in ensuring regulatory compliance and generate periodic reports for Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement committees.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program
- Licensed in the state of practice
- One-year experience in long term care settings
- Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
