Job Summary
TREATMENT NURSE position responsible for head-to-toe assessments on new admissions and readmissions, wound care and skin treatments, and ongoing communication with physicians, residents, and families about wound conditions. Performs preventative measures (specialty mattresses, turning/positioning, therapy referrals, nutrition referrals), ensures documentation is current on pressure and non-pressure wounds, participates in wound meetings and in-services, answers call lights promptly, upholds privacy, dignity, and infection-control standards, administers medications within RN/LPN scope, and assists with additional duties as assigned. Requires RN or LPN license (NC) and high school diploma; strong decision-making, teaching/orientation abilities, and knowledge of long-term care rules and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
- Must have a current, valid LPN or RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Must be a high school graduate
