Job Summary
Conduct daily skin assessments, manage treatment for specific skin disorders and lesions, and document pressure sores with precise measurements and photographs. Monitor surgical sites, catheters, and chest tubes, while ensuring pain medication is administered prior to treatments. Confers with the Care Planning Team to develop care plans, provides teaching on prevention, and responds promptly to resident signals and staff requests. Maintain a skin rash log, submit weekly body checks to the Director of Nursing, and ensure all care is delivered in privacy and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Active Licensed Vocational Nurse in California
- Knowledge of long-term care patient needs
- Demonstrated ability to deal with fast-paced environment
