Job Summary
Provide quality care to prevent and promote healing of skin integrity alterations based on resident assessments and care plans. Dress wounds, ensure timely dressing changes, and monitor healing progress while recommending necessary adjustments. Perform and document weekly pressure ulcer assessments, communicate skin integrity issues with the DON, attending physician, and responsible parties, and record weekly focused skin assessment results for QA and care plan meetings. Participate in facility rotating on-call schedules and complete training related to skin care.
Required Qualifications
- Must have attended a nursing program at an accredited college, university, or vocational school
- Must have an active RN/LVN license in the state of Texas
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred to have Wound Care Certification
- Previous experience in skilled nursing is preferred
