Job Summary
Assess, treat, and document residents' wounds according to care management systems and state regulations. Prevent pressure ulcers, administer prescribed medications, and execute physician orders while ensuring care plan implementation. Consult with the Director of Nurses or attending physician regarding wound changes and notify families of significant conditions. Identify necessary equipment, participate in assigning duties to CNA staff, and document all accidents or incidents per clinical policies. May participate in the Nurse Manager on-call rotation and function as a team leader to ensure a safe environment. Requires a current nursing license, one year of healthcare experience, and wound care knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing School
- current and valid license in the applicable State
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one-year experience in a long-term or health care setting
