Treatment Nurse (LPN / RN)

Job Summary
Assess and document resident progress, perform preventive skin care, dressing changes, and wound care, and monitor turning and positioning of residents. Administer medications and treatments accurately as ordered, while maintaining clean, orderly treatment carts and restocking supplies. Make rounds with physicians to discuss care for residents receiving decubitus or catheter care, evaluate weekly nutrition and hydration for those with Stage I to IV ulcers, and initiate additional nutritional intake as required. Notify physicians of new skin problems, condition changes, or healing progress, and communicate pertinent resident information to charge nurses, supervisors, and the Director of Nursing. Comply with infection control policies, enforce safety procedures including proper use of mechanical lifts, and report resident complaints to the Director of Nursing.
Required Qualifications
- RN or LPN in good standing with current State license
- Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge and aptitude to learn company software
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and the disabled
