Treatment Court Probation Officer

Job Summary
Supervise and counsel defendants on your caseload, monitoring court-ordered probation conditions and reporting violations to the State's Attorney's Office. Conduct enhanced face-to-face supervision contacts using Risk/Need assessment tools, prepare accurate case information for court proceedings, and refer defendants to community social service agencies. Collaborate with the Treatment Court team to report progress, deliver sanctions, and maintain weekly activity and monthly statistical reports. Attend court sessions, staffings, and team meetings while conducting home visits as required. Apply the Effective Casework Model in all interactions and build relationships with allied agencies. This union position offers a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to transport yourself as required for field work and home visits
- Sound analytical judgment and problem-solving ability
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
