Job Summary
Conduct patient consultations to explain treatment plans, address concerns, and assist with scheduling and payment arrangements. Manage patient accounts receivable, track outstanding balances, and educate clients on dental benefits and third-party financing options. Greet and check patients in and out, answer incoming calls for emergencies and appointments, and perform outbound dialing for welcome calls and lost cases. Prepare and sterilize instruments, assist the orthodontist during procedures, and maintain a clean clinic environment. Update daily spreadsheets and participate in marketing events while traveling to sister clinics as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED equivalent
- 3 years of customer service experience
- 2 years of sales experience
- 1 year of Treatment Coordinating experience
- Knowledge of medical terms and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.)
- Excellent problem solving and de-escalation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual - Spanish
- Monday – Wednesday 8:45am – 5:00pm
- Thursday - Friday 6:45am – 3:00pm
- 2 Saturdays per month
- Two 9:45am- 6:00pm Shifts per month
- Travel required to Bucktown, Avondale , Skokie
- Full time
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience preferred
