Job Summary
The Treatment Adherence Nurse provides nursing support in a clinic setting by managing patient flow and delivering evidence-based interventions related to treatment adherence and prevention. Responsibilities include engaging patients, facilitating access to medical and social support services, coordinating clinical staff training, and ensuring adherence to medical appointments and antiretroviral therapy. Applicants must hold an LPN or RN license in New York, have an Associate Degree or equivalent certification, and possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed as an LPN or RN in the state of NY
- Ability to engage patient in meaningful dialogue
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage caseload
- Ability to work independently and function as an active team member
- Working proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office products, and electronic medical records
- Must be oriented to consumer satisfaction
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- HIV Specialist certification
- 1 - 3 Years HIV related experience preferred
