Job Summary
Manage the group's cash flow by overseeing all cross-institutional payments, reconciling transactions across multiple financial institutions, and maintaining cash flow statements. Lead end-to-end implementation of payment features for new products, collaborating with product teams from requirements definition to operational setup. Automate reconciliation and settlement processes using AI tools like GAS, BigQuery, and RPA. This role supports the Treasury Team responsible for the entire Mercari Group's treasury functions, including subsidiaries like Mercari Pay and Mercari Coin. You will help build financial schemes for new services and ensure compliance with financial industry laws while managing daily transactions for a platform with over 2.3 million monthly active users.
Required Qualifications
- Japanese language proficiency (Proficient, CEFR - C1)
- Experience collaborating with Business Side or Product Side on customer service development and operations
- Experience with online banking for treasury operations
- Experience creating and managing cash flow statements
- Experience managing funds across multiple financial institutions
- Empathy for and alignment with the Mercari Group and company mission/values
Desired Qualifications
- Practical treasury operations experience
- Knowledge of internal controls (ability to independently evaluate rule compliance and drive efficiency)
- Knowledge or experience with various laws (funds transfer business, lending business, crypto asset exchange business, etc.) and own capital management
- Treasury operations experience in EC, e-commerce, or payment companies handling large transaction volumes
- Experience utilizing RPA, Google Apps Script, or Generative AI in business operations
- English language proficiency (Basic, CEFR - A2)
