Job Summary
Treasury Management Officer in Government Banking (Vice President) responsible for growing treasury management business with state and local governments; develop market and product strategy, prospect and source new business, maintain and expand client relationships, and collaborate with bankers, associates, analysts, client service, product leadership, and implementation teams. Lead business process reviews aligned to client sales opportunities, engage solutions specialists for complex reviews, and develop client-centric solutions with internal product stakeholders. Deliver thought leadership through market engagement, roundtables, conferences, webinars, and professional media. Manage non-credit risk and profitability for assigned relationships; requires strong selling, relationship management, and knowledge of Treasury Service products. Preferred Bachelor’s degree and Certified Treasury Professional; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of cash management, sales and relationship management experience
- Success developing new business with focus on prospecting utilizing strong selling and negotiation skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Treasury Service products, credit and risk process, overdraft management discipline, and pricing philosophy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, external centers of influence (COI), and external consulting organization
- Strong time management, organizational and planning skills
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributor
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Certified Treasury Professional designation (preferred)
- Strong creative solution and problem-solving (preferred)
