Treasury IRRBB Analyst: Reporting Analytics

Job Summary
IRRBB reporting analyst role within Starling Bank's Treasury team. Responsible for producing internal and regulatory IRRBB reporting from the bank’s ALM system, ensuring outputs are complete and accurate, designing and running production processes for risk reporting, supporting development of ETL processes upstream of the ALM system, building controls on data feeds and ALM outputs, investigating and resolving reporting errors, and creating tools to perform calculations outside the system. Requires strong problem-solving, outcome-focus, risk anticipation, ability to manage competing priorities, and clear communication/documentation for technical and non-technical audiences. Key technical requirements include Excel, SQL, and ideally Python; familiarity with GitHub and databases; knowledge of IRRBB concepts and banking risk mechanics; and prior experience with data handling, controls, and process/tool development.
Required Qualifications
- Experience using an ALM system to generate IRRBB risk metrics highly desirable
- Intuitive understanding of IRRBB and how these risks are generated within a retail bank
- Intuitive understanding of credit ratings, asset-backed structures and how underlying collateral performance (e.g., prepayment, default, and recovery dynamics) drives risk
- Experience of data handling and manipulation within Excel, SQL, and ideally Python
- Experience in identifying and improving controls
- Experience in developing, and improving regular processes and tools
- Familiarity with GitHub and databases is also desirable
- Graduate level education preferable, ideally in a numerical degree
