Treasury Analyst (3 Month Term)

Job Summary
Prepare Daily Cash reports for senior management distribution and analyze bank activity to identify daily cash sources and uses. Complete month-end bank reconciliations and record weekly journal entries in the ERP system. Investigate discrepancies and liaise with internal teams, banks, and financial institutions to resolve inquiries. Develop monitoring reports and alerts while ensuring compliance with SOX, GAAP, and regulatory requirements. This three-month term requires strong reconciliation experience, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and the ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada on a permanent basis.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, treasury or a related role
- Strong hands-on reconciliation experience, including investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to quickly learn processes and work independently with minimal ramp-up
- Must be eligible to work in Canada on a permanent basis
Desired Qualifications
- Previous treasury or cash management experience
- Experience preparing or supporting daily cash reporting
- Exposure to foreign exchange, interest, debt and banking transactions
- Experience working with ERP and financial systems
- Familiarity with SOX, GAAP and financial controls
- Comfortable working with banks, financial institutions and internal stakeholders
- Adaptable and able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of accounting and financial transactions, including journal entries
