Job Summary
Prepare and serve all food and beverages in the Bruin Coffee House while stocking, rotating, and prepping raw materials and menu items. Keep a clean and organized work area, maintain food safety standards, and ensure timely service during peak times. Perform daily and weekly cleaning tasks, manage the dish area and food storage, and remove garbage efficiently. Ring in orders into the point of sale system and handle debit, credit, and one card transactions appropriately. Demonstrate menu and recipe knowledge, participate in staff contests, and provide enthusiastic customer service.
Required Qualifications
- A full time or part-time fee-paying student
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Food Safety certification Level 1 (training & certification arranged through the SSU)
- Able to handle cash and electronic transactions
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
