Job Summary
Prepare patients for hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments, including education on procedures and safety protocols. Operate and monitor monoplace or multiplace hyperbaric chambers while monitoring patient vital signs, condition, and tolerance during treatment. Document patient care, treatment parameters, and clinical observations accurately in the medical record. Assist with emergency procedures and respond promptly to adverse events during hyperbaric treatments. Perform routine equipment checks, maintenance coordination, and safety inspections of hyperbaric systems. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, wound care staff, and other interdisciplinary team members. Participate in ongoing training, competency assessments, and hyperbaric safety drills. Support general clinic operations as needed. Requires current EMT or LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and ability to work in a clinical environment with pressurized oxygen systems. Located in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active EMT license (Basic or higher) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to obtain required hyperbaric certification within an established period (if not already certified)
- Strong communication, assessment, and patient care skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to assist patients with mobility as needed
- Ability to respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively
- Adherence to strict safety protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in hyperbaric medicine, wound care, emergency services, or critical care
- CHS (Certified Hyperbaric Specialist) or CHT training (or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
