Job Summary
Traveling Thermal Field Support Engineer provides on-site and remote field service for precision cooling equipment, including start-up, commissioning, testing, and on-call support. Responsibilities include leading site activities, ensuring sufficient manpower, coordinating with sales and District Manager on quotes for additional services, delivering on-site and telephone technical support, and producing daily status reports. Requires extensive field experience, ability to work with minimal supervision, strong communication skills, safety compliance, and travel to customer sites. Must have HVAC-related education and licensing (EPA 608 Level 2 or Universal), proficiency with electrical test equipment and schematics, and the ability to train others. The role involves travel, working flexible hours, and fulfilling safety/regulatory requirements; the location is remote with US-based work authorization and travel to sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or accredited GED
- 1-2 year HVAC Diploma or Technical School Degree
- EPA 608 refrigerant license – Level 2 or Universal
- Minimum 10 years relevant industry experience and leadership experience
- Six years military experience in a related field plus 5 years Liebert product experience
- Professional interpersonal skills including leadership, reliability, and teamwork
- Proficiency with electrical/electronic test equipment; reading electrical diagrams and blueprints
