Job Summary
Traveling Superintendent responsible for directing field personnel and trade contractors on commercial construction projects (ground up, additions, and interior renovations) to ensure on-time, on-budget completion. Manages project schedule, coordinates with subcontractors and suppliers, maintains safety and quality workmanship per plans, communicates progress to the Project Manager and customers, sustains professional relations with officials and team members, and performs site inspections and punch lists as needed. Requires experience supervising commercial builds across hospitality, retail, banking/credit union, and convenience-store sectors; strong coordination, leadership, and communication skills; willingness to travel within the southeast US; and familiarity with ESOP-enabled employee-owned firms. The role emphasizes teamwork, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a traveling commercial construction superintendent
- Experience with ground up construction, additions, and interior renovations
- Experience in restaurant and petroleum/convenience store, bank/credit union, and retail projects desired
- Ability to coordinate field personnel and trade contractors
- Strong schedule management and budget adherence
- Safety leadership and site safety promotion
- Effective communication with project team, customers, officials, and subcontractors
- Ability to travel as required
