Job Summary
Oversee all on-site operations for ground-up commercial projects in Juneau and Southeast Alaska, directing on-site construction activities from start to finish; review and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents; coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution; monitor schedules and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines; enforce safety policies and compliance with regulations; lead daily huddles and coordination sessions with trade partners; maintain field documentation (logs, reports, inspections); manage site logistics and punch list/closeout activities; collaborate with project managers and internal teams to support successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in ground-up commercial construction with a general contractor
- Demonstrated experience delivering commercial projects in the $15M+ range
- Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong leadership presence with effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, and building systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management tools
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced construction environment
- Flexibility to travel or be based on project sites as needed
