Job Summary
Operate drill rigs and drilling equipment with high proficiency; maintain daily drilling reports; lead a drilling crew by training and mentoring employees; ensure equipment is safe and maintained; complete well logs, tailgates, and DVIRs; manage timesheets and certifications; stay current with MSDS, CEU’s, and JSA’s; travel 80% primarily within the Southeast with 10 days on / 4 days off schedules, occasional weekends; private hotel room provided and per diem; undergo pre-employment background check and drug test; comply with DOT and IRCA requirements and maintain a valid driver’s license and DOT medical card; opportunity for professional growth and advancement within a safety-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A and State Driller License preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in the drilling industry, with at least one year operating multiple rigs (sonic, rotary, auger)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Interstate DOT Medical Card
- Background check and MVR
- Passing a HAZWOPER physical
- IRCA work authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Negative drug test
- Ability to travel 80% within Southeast; willingness to travel weekends
- Compliance with safety standards and MSDS/CEU/JSA knowledge
- Pre-employment background check and drug test
- Ability to lead a drilling crew and train employees
- Maintain daily drilling reports
- Complete well logs and DVIRs
- Maintain certifications
