Traveling Service Technician

Job Summary
Travel to customer sites throughout the United States to support refractory installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair activities in kilns, furnaces, and vessels. Install and repair systems while performing welding, cutting, grinding, anchor installation, forming, and pouring. Support gunning, shotcrete applications, and material trials; interpret technical drawings and conduct kiln audits, ovality measurements, and 3D scans using diagnostic tools. Operate forklifts, manlifts, and scissor lifts; perform preventative maintenance on rotary guns and jackhammers. Maintain accurate documentation, expense reports, and project records. Up to 80% travel expected with international potential; valid driver's license and passport required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of industrial field service, refractory, steel or non-ferrous metals experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Valid driver's license
- Valid international passport or ability to obtain a passport
- English fluency
- MSHA part 46b or 48 certifications or ability to obtain required
- OSHA 10 or 30 or ability to obtain required
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, work varying shifts, and perform physically demanding work in industrial environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform tasks in confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with refractory installation, bricklaying, welding, forming, pouring, shotcrete, or gunning applications in steel and industrial applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic reporting systems (e.g. Concur, ADP, Dayforce)
