Job Summary
Traveling Security Systems Engineer responsible for on-site project leadership of Electronic Security projects across the U.S. with up to 75% travel; roles include planning, executing, coordinating installation, commissioning, and closeout, providing direction to subcontractors and technicians, ensuring safety and compliance with codes, developing project plans and resource coordination, managing system hardware and software programming, delivering as-built documentation, mentoring team members, communicating project status to management, and training owner/operators on total system operation; preferred certifications include Electronics certification and Lenel certification, with exposure to a range of security platforms (Software House C-Cure 9000, Lenel, Genetec, Bosch BVMS) and fiber/network experience; requires ability to obtain government security clearances and willingness to travel for Federal projects.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of field experience in the commercial or industrial Electronic Security industry
- Technical, hands-on experience with systems design, commissioning and/or programming of Electronic Security Systems
- The ability to communicate technical material to a nontechnical audience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and general Windows environment
- The ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances as needed
