Traveling Safety Manager - Construction

Job Summary
Conduct weekly documented jobsite safety inspections, review subcontractor pre-task safety analyses, and stop work immediately upon identifying unsafe acts or practices. Establish and lead regular safety meetings with project staff and subcontractor representatives to define roles and ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local requirements. Facilitate training for site personnel, investigate incidents, and generate proper reports while maintaining all required safety records. Assist the Project Superintendent in implementing fire prevention and evacuation procedures to support corporate safety goals. Perform duties requiring physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, and negotiate construction work areas, including occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- B.S. in Safety and Health or equivalent
- At least two (4) years of safety experience or combination of education/multiple years experience in building construction, with a working knowledge of safety/environment principles and techniques
- Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs
- Ability to use construction personnel hoists
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to negotiate work areas under construction
