Traveling Safety Manager - Construction

Job Summary
Conduct weekly documented jobsite safety inspections, review subcontractor daily pre-task safety analyses, and stop any violations or unsafe acts immediately. Establish and conduct regular safety meetings with project staff and subcontractor representatives to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local requirements. Facilitate training for site personnel, assist in developing a zero injury safety culture, and investigate all incidents while generating proper reports. Maintain all required safety records, including toolbox meeting logs, and communicate orientations for new workers. Stop work when necessary to correct hazards and actively promote proactive safety initiatives such as near miss reporting.
Required Qualifications
- CHST Certification
- B.S. in Safety and Health or equivalent
- At least two (4) years of safety experience or a combination of education/multiple years of experience in building construction
- working knowledge of safety/environment principles and techniques
- Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- Computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs
- ability to use construction personnel hoists
