Traveling Safety Manager - CHST Required

Job Summary
Conduct weekly documented jobsite safety inspections, assist in developing a zero injury safety culture, and facilitate training for site personnel to ensure compliance with OSHA and Federal standards. Establish and lead regular safety meetings with subcontractor representatives and project staff, while reviewing subcontractor safety programs and designating trained safety representatives. Investigate all incidents, generate proper reports, and stop unsafe acts immediately to eliminate hazards. Maintain comprehensive safety records, logs, and toolbox meeting documentation, and report violations to subcontractors for immediate correction. This full-time traveling position supports corporate safety goals and promotes proactive initiatives like near miss reporting and daily stretch programs.
Required Qualifications
- Higher Level BCSP Cert Required
- CHST / GSP / ASP / CSP
- Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- At least (3) years of safety experience or combination of education/multiple years experience in building construction
- With a working knowledge of safety/environment principles and techniques
- OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus
- Computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Bilingual is a plus
