Traveling Safety Manager - CHST Required

Job Summary
Develop a project safety program and establish orientation for new employees, administering participation logs and issuing identification. Conduct weekly documented jobsite inspections, pre-planning safety meetings with subcontractors, and regular toolbox talks to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local requirements. Facilitate training for site personnel, review subcontractor safety programs, and designate trained safety representatives. Stop any unsafe acts immediately, investigate incidents, and generate proper reports while maintaining all required safety records. Promote a zero injury culture through proactive initiatives, hazard reporting, and coaching workers on safe methods. This full-time traveling position requires a Higher Level BCSP certification and at least three years of safety experience in building construction.
Required Qualifications
- Higher Level BCSP Cert Required
- CHST / GSP / ASP / CSP
- Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- At least (3) years of safety experience or combination of education/multiple years experience in building construction
- With a working knowledge of safety/environment principles and techniques
- OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus
- Computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Bilingual is a plus
