Traveling Safety Manager - CHST Required

Job Summary

Conduct weekly documented jobsite safety inspections and review subcontractor daily pre-task safety analyses. Assist in developing a zero injury safety culture by establishing orientations for new project workers and facilitating training compliant with OSHA and Federal standards. Stop any unsafe acts immediately, investigate incidents, and generate proper reports while maintaining all required safety records. Ensure subcontractors designate trained safety representatives and maintain logs of toolbox meetings. This full-time traveling position requires a Higher Level BCSP Cert and CHST certification. You will actively promote proactive safety initiatives, coach workers on safe methods, and report all incidents following established protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Higher Level BCSP Cert Required
  • CHST / GSP / ASP / CSP
  • Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
  • At least (3) years of safety experience or combination of education/multiple years experience in building construction
  • With a working knowledge of safety/environment principles and techniques
  • OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation
  • This is a full-time traveling position

Desired Qualifications

  • OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus
  • Computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual is a plus
