Job Summary
Develop a zero injury safety culture by conducting weekly documented jobsite inspections, reviewing subcontractor daily pre-task safety analyses, and establishing regular safety meetings with project staff and subcontractors. Facilitate orientation programs for new employees, administer their participation, and issue identification while ensuring all training complies with OSHA and Federal standards. Investigate incidents, generate proper reports, and stop unsafe acts immediately to eliminate hazards and promote proactive safety initiatives. Maintain comprehensive safety records, logs, and toolbox meeting documentation while assisting the Project Superintendent in implementing fire prevention and evacuation procedures. This full-time traveling position requires a Higher Level BCSP Cert and at least three years of safety experience in building construction.
Required Qualifications
- Higher Level BCSP Cert Required
- CHST / GSP / ASP / CSP
- Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- At least (3) years of safety experience or combination of education/multiple years experience in building construction
- With a working knowledge of safety/environment principles and techniques
- OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation
- This is a full-time traveling position
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus
- Computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Bilingual is a plus
