Job Summary
Operate drill rigs and drilling equipment with high proficiency while maintaining daily drilling reports and ensuring equipment safety through routine maintenance. Lead a drilling crew by training and mentoring employees, maintain a safe environment, and approve employee timesheets. Complete well logs, logbook, repair orders, tailgates, and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports while promoting positive relationships with team members and clients. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MSDS, CEU's, and JSA's and all required certifications. This role involves Monday through Friday scheduling with occasional weekend and night shifts, 10-12 hour workdays, and 50-60% travel within Southern California, Arizona, and Nevada. Private hotel accommodation and per diem are provided.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in the drilling industry, with at least one (1) year of experience operating a variety of rigs (i.e. sonic, rotary, auger)
- Possessing a valid Driver's License for the state in which you reside and satisfactory results of a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Obtaining and maintaining an interstate DOT Medical Card and meeting all Federal Interstate FMCSA requirements to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle
- Passing a HAZWOPER physical
- Verifying your legal right to work in the United States under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA)
- Be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- CDL Class A and State Driller License is preferred
