Job Summary
The Traveling Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing individualized nursing care across inpatient settings under the nurse practice act and standards. Responsibilities include patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care; coordinating with physicians and inter-professional colleagues; patient education; triage; and various nursing interventions. Must meet licensure requirements, have at least one year of nursing experience and six months of travel experience, and be located within 60 miles of the Sioux Falls, SD facility. Contracts are 14 weeks with potential extension or reassignment to another Sanford site. Night shifts are 12 hours long with 36 hours per week, and weekly pay with benefits are offered.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the practicing state or multistate licensure (NLC)
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
- At least one year of experience
- At least six months of travel experience
- Live at least 60 miles from the location applied for
