Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) traveling position at Chamberlain Medical Center in Chamberlain, SD. 14-week contracts with the option to extend; requires 1 year experience and 6 months travel experience; live at least 60 miles from location; performs nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care; collaborates with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians; cares for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up; planning and coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various nursing interventions; functions within the Nurse Practice Act and applicable state rules; licensure requirements and certifications; benefits include health/dental/vision/life insurance, 401(k), time off; drug screen and background check required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, AACN, ACEN, NLN CNEA
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Experience: At least one year of experience; at least six months of travel experience
