Job Summary
Travel RN responsibilities include applying the nursing process to provide individualized patient care, performing patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and coordinating with physicians and inter-professional colleagues. The role involves care across preventative, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, with 12-hour rotating shifts and a weekly pay cycle. Contracts are 14 weeks with potential extension, and include benefits as part of Sanford’s total rewards. Applicants must hold an accredited nursing program credential and an RN license (including multistate licensure where applicable), with a minimum of 1 year of experience and 6 months of travel experience; the posting notes a Bachelor’s in nursing is preferred, and licensure requirements include NCLEX-based practice under applicable Nurse Practice Acts. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the practicing state and/or multistate licensure in an NLC state
- Obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- At least one year of nursing experience
- At least six months of travel experience
- Live at least 60 miles from the location applied for
- Drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
